WEEK 77 | GÅRD VINTNERS
Founded in 2006, Gård Vintners is dedicated to crafting world-class wines from its sustainably farmed estate Lawrence Vineyards based in Washington’s Royal Slope AVA. We produce 8,500 cases a year with four tasting rooms in Washington: Woodinville, Walla Walla, Ellensburg and Royal City.
The winery was founded by Josh and Lisa Lawrence, along with Josh’s dad John Lawrence and uncle Sandy Lawrence, whose family has farmed the Royal Slope for more than 55 years. The winery and estate vineyard is now solely owned and operated by Josh and Lisa, who oversees sales and marketing, while Josh oversees the vineyard and other farm and orchard operations.
Gård, meaning “farm,” is a tribute to their family’s Scandinavian heritage and farming tradition.
ABOUT THE COTTAGE
The Cottage is a full-service restaurant specializing in local, farm-to-table fare on a rotating, seasonal menu. Almost everything is made in-house, and we frequently know the farm from which the ingredients hail! Our full bar features a number of offerings from small, local purveyors including beer, wine, and craft cocktails. We pride ourselves on our customer service, and aim to create an experience unlike anywhere else.
