Every Wednesday we feature a local winery for tastings…$5 buys you 3 tastings! Retail bottles will be available; the tasting fee will be applied toward your purchase, or enjoy a bottle with dinner for a $15 corkage fee.

WEEK 54 | WATER FROM WINE

Water from Wine is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, operating a vineyard and winery in Washington state. Water from Wine grows grapes, partner with wineries to make wine, and then sell their wine online, at the winery, and through several key partners. 100% of the revenue from each bottle of Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosé sold is donated to organizations working to provide clean water around the world.

The organizations Water from Wine partners with work alongside local leaders and community members in areas of Honduras, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and India to establish lasting solutions to the global water crisis.

In 2012, Pat Tucker, the founder of Water from Wine, came up with the concept of using the vineyard on the family farm to benefit various nonprofits. Upon learning that many areas of the world still suffer from lack of access to clean water, Pat thought donating funds to organizations providing clean water would be a positive focus for the nonprofit.

ABOUT THE COTTAGE
The Cottage is a full-service restaurant specializing in local, farm-to-table fare on a rotating, seasonal menu. Almost everything is made in-house, and we frequently know the farm from which the ingredients hail! Our full bar features a number of offerings from small, local purveyors including beer, wine, and craft cocktails. We pride ourselves on our customer service, and aim to create an experience unlike anywhere else.
