ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-Describe Woodhouse wines and winery history, and answer visitors’ questions about wine

-Assist the winery with events, off-site pours and other related activities as needed
-Maintain all club member and customer data with accuracy and integrity
-Limited food handling, such as cheese boards and menu items for Happy Hour
-Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register and accounting of daily sales, processing returns, discounts, accurately reconciles cash receipts daily and posts transactions, and tracks samples
-Assisting the manager and lead with general tasting room duties as instructed
-Stock and restock both wine and non-wine items
-Ensure clean, well-organized, and functional environment throughout the tasting room & winery building, and performs facility upkeep as necessary
-Abide by policies and procedures outline by assistant tasting room manager and tasting room lead

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Previous sales and customer service experience in the hospitality industry preferred
-Professional and social personality with excellent customer service focus
-Regular weekend shifts required. (Primary duties will be during the day on Saturday-Sunday, but periodic evening shifts may be required.)
-Strong general wine knowledge, along with familiarity of the Washington wine industry, is preferred

  • Stock wine and product in all areas of responsibility
  • Supply and stage wine for events as needed
  • Organize and prepare wine stock and wine bags for club releases
  • Responsible for accurate use of sample sheets
  • Provide customer assistance as necessary
  • Assist in shipping of merchandise and wine
  • Support resolution of shipping issues as needed
  • Assists with set-up and tear down of wine tents during the summer concert season

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required (Must be 18 years of age)
  • 1 year of stock experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to work weekends and nights and have open availability for scheduling
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Use of UPS/FedEx shipping systems is a plus
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
