Andrew Larson built his Hollywood Corner Service Station in 1923. In 1929 Larson was robbed and beaten he succumbed to his injuries in December 1930. Cyrus Ambuhl would operate the service station for several years. When Ambuhl a bachelor died he left the service station to Mabel Nieman whose late husband was a cousin of Cyrus’s. Mabel would turn the station into the Hollywood Tavern, though locals referred to it as Mabel’s Tavern. In 2013 Hollywood tavern was remodeled into a full-service restaurant.
