2023 Rosé of Sangiovese: We’re very serious about this festive and flavorful dry wine. Quality Rosé starts with grapes grown specifically for this purpose. Our Rosé is a deliberate result of careful winemaking, not an incidental byproduct of red production. Our Rosé is conceived in the vineyard at pruning and matured to be crisp, lean and fruity – it is the most winningest wine at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, ever . Features an expressive nose with melon rind and maraschino cherry notes that compliment its strawberry nuances. The well-structured palate is at once full-bodied yet also bright and fruity. A remarkably appealing, dry, food-friendly Rosé.

Cougar Crest Estate Winery

Cat’s Away Rosé: This rosé is a blend of 71% Cab Franc and 29% Merlot, delivering a floral perfume of peach blossom and a hint of cherry pie. In the mid-palate, this wine remains true to its Rosé nature: light and playful like a mischievous cat, but strong with bold flavors of strawberry, apricot and Rainer cherry with a hint of pineapple. The finish is crisp and refreshing, and just like good head scritches will leave you wanting more. This label celebrates the life of our winery cat, Whiskey. She dutifully kept birds and gophers out of our estate grown Riesling for 17 years.
The Cabernet Franc and Merlot used in this refreshing blend came from the Cougar Hills Vineyard, which is a stone’s throw from the site of the original Seven Hills Vineyard planted more than 30 years ago, that began the Walla Walla legacy of quality vineyards. Tucked into the southwest corner of the Walla Walla AVA, as the name implies, there is a hill at Cougar Hills. The elevation averages 800 feet at the base and rises to 845 at the top of the hill. The slope of the hill faces north, which in the summertime is facing the sun.

Jaine

2023 Jaine Thunderstone Rose – The 2023 started with a delayed bud break in late April. Even heat throughout the growing season allowed optimum ripeness. The Grenache was harvested on September 30, 2023, and was pressed with minimal skin contact. The pressed juice was cold-tank settled and fermented in a stainless tank. The tank temperatures were kept low to preserve the varietal characteristics of the fruit and the production of esters. Fermentation was around fourteen weeks, long and slow. Once fermentation was complete, the tank was racked, and the lees were stirred for one week. Aging was on the fine lees for ten weeks before bottling on March 12, 2024. Only 1229 cases produced.

The 2023 Jaine Columbia Valley Rosé is a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre from Ravenscliff vineyard in the Columbia Valley AVA of Washington State. The site is farmed using sustainable practices. Grapes are harvested in the cooler, early morning hours to capitalize on the diurnal shift, which provides acidity and freshness. The wine was cold settled in tank, and a cool temperature was maintained to preserve the fresh fruit characteristics. The lots were fermented in stainless steel for six weeks and then aged in stainless steel barrels on the lees for 6 months. Bottled in March of 2024. Only 2,200 cases produced.

Conde Valdemar Rosé: Taste the feeling of Spring…Our Rosé is so popular that we now have it available all year round! The release date of the new vintage varies from year to year because of this. We are currently serving the 2022 vintage.

It has a soft pink color and a delicate aroma filled with fresh flowers and red berries… if we were to define this wine in just one word, it would be elegance. A sweet and vibrant wine that will not disappoint. It exhibits an elegant aroma, where notes of fine flowers, rose water, and a selection of fresh fruits, including wild strawberry and raspberry. On the palate, it offers a subtle entry and an exceptionally smooth mouthfeel, with floral reminiscences and a hint of spice. It finishes with a fresh and silky aftertaste.

We like to pair our rosé with smoked fish, soups, creams, and salads. It also goes well with Mediterranean cuisine such as rice plates, pastas, and dishes with spicy or bittersweet sauces.

Quiddity Wines

2023 RISIBILITY (Rosé of Mourvèdre): This RISIBILITY is made the same as prior vintages, 100% Mourvèdre from the Sugarloaf Vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA. It was whole cluster, direct press, and vinified in stainless steel.

It is a bit more delicate and nuanced than past vintages. You can see this straight away from how the pale pink color shimmers in the glass. It has a delicate nose of juicy pink grapefruit and floral aromas. It leads with notes of grapefruit, strawberry, and passion fruit on the front palette and finishes with slightly savory, herbal and fennel notes on the back palette and, maybe, just a hint of orange creamsicle. It smells, tastes, and feels like a seaside breeze wafting over Provencal flower garden.
