WOODINVILLE, WA (Dec 1, 2021) Woodinville Wine Country announced Adam Acampora has been named their Executive Director. Acampora comes to Woodinville Wine Country with over 15 years of Marketing and Business Development experience. Having worked for such iconic companies such as Jack Daniel’s and Gibson Guitars. He has been responsible for defining and evangelizing brands across the globe utilizing grassroots techniques, focusing on product and lifestyle consumer engagement.

Most recently he has served as the first Executive Director for the Tennessee Wine Industry, where he has spent the past 3 and a half years spearheading the industry’s legislative initiatives, fostered strategic partnerships, building workforce education & certification programs, creating consumer marketing campaigns, and securing support and funding from the State for the industry.

Acampora began his journey into the wine world in 2015, with a boutique Tennessee winery, Natchez Hills Vineyards. There he managed sales, marketing, and brand development initiatives. Focusing on DTC and Wholesale channels, he was responsible for developing programs that helped Natchez Hills grow their operation from 500 cases to 4,000 cases in just 3 years.

Born in New York, Acampora was raised in Virginia where he attended Christopher Newport University majoring in Philosophy. Currently, he is a Wine and Spirit Educational Trust (WSET) Diploma student and hopes to one day pursue his Master of Wine. He has called Nashville home since 2006 but is excited to start a new chapter in his career in the Pacific Northwest. He along with his wife Heidi, and their two-year-old son Arlo will officially become Washingtonians in mid December.

“I am excited for our family’s adventure to begin in the Pacific Northwest. The Washington Wine Industry has been on my radar for a couple of years now and I always envisioned making a move out this way as my career in wine evolved. I am so excited for the opportunity to join the community in Woodinville and can’t wait to work with some of the best wine producers in the country.”

If you’re wondering what kind of wine Acampora likes to drink, “With reds my go to is fruit forward, medium tannin, nuanced and complex with just a hint of spice. I want to enjoy a glass without food, with good company and conversation. As for whites, I am a sucker for a good off dry Riesling or Pinot Gris.”

Adam Acampora starts January 3, 2022
