This year, Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery tapped a country-pop queen and a stable of songwriting greats for its annual summer concert series.
Those summer weekends are starting to fill up. A few weeks after the Woodland Park Zoo tipped a portion of this year’s ZooTunes shows, one of Woodinville’s favorite wineries has unveiled the lineup for its popular summer concert series.
This year, Chateau Ste. Michelle is bringing songwriting greats, a country-pop queen and legendary beards to its bucolic grounds.
Somewhat telling of the pro-picnic-basket series’ target demo, the first two acts will swing through the winery grounds on 50th anniversary tours. Proggy folk-rockers Jethro Tull get the sophisticated party started on June 10, with similarly progressive Brits Yes following on June 14. Leaving the besmirched Garrison Keillor era in the dust bowl, Americana fave Chris Thile brings the radio show formerly known as “A Prairie Home Companion” (now “Live From Here”) in for a taping.>>>Read the entire article on The Seattle Times
