Acclaimed Winery Hosts Fall Release Celebration

Woodinville, WA, November 16, 2016: “I don’t have too many goals – I just try to keep working on each vintage. Each year is different. We have to get in there, taste the grapes and work the fermentations and the blending,” remarked Chris Upchurch, Executive Winemaker and Cofounder of DeLille Cellars of Washington State. “People think I’m a farmer, a scientist, an artist – but I’m really a craftsman who builds things.” Chris has been “building wine” at DeLille for 25 years now, having founded the winery in 1992 with Greg and Charles Lill and Jay Soloff. At that time, Washington had roughly 50 operating wineries and 5 tasting rooms in Woodinville.
