June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. Local officials, including Representative Dan Newhouse (R-WA), will join Milbrandt Vineyards, Coeur Cause® Wines, and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in Washington State to help raise awareness on this major public health issue.

An estimated 6.2 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s. One in three seniors will die with the disease or another dementia. A press conference and awareness kick-off campaign at Milbrandt Vineyards’ Prosser tasting room will encourage residents to “go purple” to help shed light on the growing crisis.

Coeur Cause® Wines and Milbrandt Vineyards are releasing the Coeur Cause® Sparkling Riesling. Until the end of 2021, 10% from sales of this wine will go to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in Washington State as a direct donation to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Complimentary bouquets of purple flowers will be given to caregivers and those affected by Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Full details at MilbrandtVineyards.com/cause.
