While Valentine’s Day is traditionally aimed at celebrating coupledom, you don’t need a date to enjoy rosés and chocolates in Woodinville Wine Country. Grab your fun-loving friends and follow an itinerary packed with Valentine’s Day events for everyone who is in love… with really good wine.
Here’s a tip: Skip the expensive roses and put those dollars towards some delicious rosé wine instead! Start your Saturday at Callan Cellars in Artisan Hill. They will be releasing their 2017 100% Cinsault Rosé from noon to 5:00pm. You will also be able to buy some bubbly at Callan Cellars. They make a Methode’ Champenoise made from 76% Chardonnay, 22% Pinot Noir & 2% Pinot Meunier – perfect for celebrating!
Your road to rosé releases runs through Patterson Cellars where two new wines will be available this weekend: Patterson Cellars Rosé and Forbidden Rosé. As an extra incentive (like you even need one!), they will be offering a special Valentine’s flight in addition to their regular tasting flight. And just to top off your tasting experience, chocolate pairings from Theo’s Chocolates will be served on Saturday and Sunday.
Follow that up with an event to tempt your tastebuds at the Hollywood Schoolhouse Wineries. On Saturday from noon to 5:00pm, Pepper Bridge/Amavi Cellars, J. Bookwalter and Market Vineyards are co-hosting a Valentine’s Stroll between the three tasting rooms. There will be delicious bites at each location – including homemade Alfajores Tea Cookies at Pepper Bridge/Amavi – and a glassybaby roadshow benefiting Children’s Hospital at Market Vineyards. Enjoy library tastings at all the wineries including a special five-year vertical of Market Vineyard’s Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. (Regular tasting fees apply at each location.)
