Despite a challenging pandemic, Yelpers are still finding great places to eat. Whether dining indoors, lunching on a breezy patio, ordering takeout, or getting delivery, our hungry community has been enjoying fantastic meals in every corner of the US.

Want to know where they’re headed next? Our 9th annual Top 100 US Restaurants list reveals Yelper’s latest favorites, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Portland, Oregon. Most are affordable spots where you can enjoy a tasty meal for $30 or under—even in New York City.

Topping this year’s best restaurants list is Cocina Madrigal, a Latinx father-and-son-owned eatery serving Oaxaca fundido and beef birria enchiladas to lucky residents of Phoenix, Arizona (who’ve responded with more 5-star reviews than we can count).

You’ll also find top-rated Afghan cuisine at No. 2’s Aracosia–McLean in McLean, Virginia; Uzbek dishes at OSH Restaurant and Grill in Nashville; and tastes of Sardinia, Italy, at Ristorante Paradiso in Kirkland, Washington. There are even a few James Beard award-winners on the list serving up gently priced fine dining—plus some quirky favorites, like No. 3-ranked Fermentation Farm in Costa Mesa, California.

Did your favorite restaurant make it into the top 100? Let us know on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok with #YelpTop100. Remember, we only know how good a spot is if you take the time to review it. So share your thoughts on Yelp, and maybe your favorites will be on next year’s Top 100 list!

How we did it: To create Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants list, we first reached out to Yelpers for their favorite dining spots. Then, we ranked each by total number of submissions, ratings, reviews, and geographic representation, among other factors.

NO. 72

This local fave near Seattle serves familiar dishes with an elevated twist, featuring locally sourced ingredients. Yelpers keep coming back for the Chioggia Beet and White Truffle Goat Cheese Brûlée, Horseradish Crusted Alaskan King Salmon, and Red Wine-Braised Short Ribs served with mashed potatoes, English peas, and thyme mascarpone. Don’t miss their special events, such as live-music nights with up-and-coming bands.

Cuisine: American (New), Breakfast & Brunch

What they’re known for: In addition to elegant dinners, The Cottage’s brunch features Baked Croissant French Toast and truly indulgent buttermilk biscuits and gravy. For lunch, try a burger made with Snake River Farms Wagyu beef.

Yelpers say: “I’m a sucker for all things Parisian, and The Cottage reminds me of a Paris café (but bigger!). Everything is bright during the day thanks to all the windows, but at night it just feels swanky and ultra-classy!” —Jen T.
