Great Wine for the Greater Good.

Three summers ago, Tim Gamble and Teresa Spellman Gamble founded Tinte Cellars with a mission to create “Great Wine for the Greater Good.”

Today, they’ve won dozens of wine awards and exceeded donations totaling more than $500,000 to local charities.

Mission accomplished.

Yet, in true Tinte fashion, the winery collective is going one step further—or four steps further in this case.

During July, Tinte is donating an additional $1000 to each of their four nonprofit partners— Mary’s Place, Northwest Harvest, Seattle Children’s Behavioral Health Crisis Care Clinic, and the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic.

We are so grateful to those who have sipped and supported us since the inception. Our enthusiasm for the community continues, and as we head into our fourth year we chose to mark this momentous milestone by giving back a bit further.

Amidst the pandemic, Tinte Cellars stayed focused on their primary goals- to develop outstanding Washington wines and to give to those in need.

They also grew their winery collective exponentially during a difficult time.

Tinte now operates two tasting rooms near their winery in Woodinville, a third tasting room in Seattle’s historic Georgetown neighborhood, Tinte Estates Vineyard, a five-acre vineyard on Red Mountain in Benton City, Washington, and Tinte Red Mountain Retreat, a short-term vacation rental property nestled in the vineyard.

The Tinte team secured numerous wine awards over the past three years, recently earning Double Gold & Best of Class for their 2018 Tinte Cellars Malbec at the Sunset International Wine Competition.

Tinte produces approximately 4,000 cases of wine annually, and with each glass poured, they give back.

“The Tinte community is a mighty one,” said Spellman Gamble. “Each time we announce a cause we’re supporting whether it’s Love Letters to the Elderly where people wrote letters to seniors who were shut in due to the pandemic, or Bottles for Bravery where people nominated first responders to receive a bottle of wine, or during Pride Month where a portion of sales was donated to Gay City, our guests rally. The number of times we’ve heard, ‘I’ll drink to that!’ are too numerous to count!”

In 2021, five percent of all retail sales and 10% of all wine club sales are split equally between Tinte’s four charitable partners. In addition, Tinte invests in a wide range of programs and activities to enable their customers, employees, and partners to amplify their own positive impact on the world. Since June 2018, Tinte’s philanthropic commitment of cash and in-kind donations to local nonprofits significantly exceeded $500,000.
