Roll out the welcome mat for Woodinville Wine Country’s newest tasting rooms! With an average of four new wineries launching each month in Washington State, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing new faces and tasting all sorts of new wines here in Woodinville.

In the Warehouse District, WIT Cellars has already earned a loyal following just since its opening last October. The winery launched in Prosser two years ago and was named the 2017 “Winery to Watch” Wine Press Northwest Magazine. WIT Cellars (“WIT” stands for “We’re In It Together”) just released two 2015 Cabernet Francs from the same winemaker, vineyard and block though each exemplifies either an “old world” or “new world” style of winemaking. A taste of these two wines side by side is a real experience in distinct winemaking methods.

Head a bit off the beaten path to taste J Bell Cellars, a Yakima Valley winery that is now pouring its entire wine list at their Woodinville wine lounge in Suite C’s Vino Wine Bar. The main J Bell Cellars tasting room is in Zillah, Yakima Valley, where in 2013 they produced their first wines. J Bell Cellars is now branching out to Woodinville, eager to share their new tasting lineup. As an extra incentive, they are now offering a 10% half case and a 15% whole case discount to anyone, not just club members!

Just south of the Hollywood Schoolhouse, Wilridge Winery is entering their second year in Woodinville, having joined the Sky River Meadery tasting room last spring. Founded in 1988, Wilridge is the oldest winery still operating in Seattle. Wilridge produces a wide range of white and rose wines, red wines, and dessert wines so plan to relax in one of their Adirondack chairs, enjoy the beautiful Sammamish Valley view and taste their full lineup.

A few of the new tasting rooms coming to Woodinville haven’t yet opened for business but their doors will soon be opened to eager wine drinkers. Milbrant Vineyards, Ryan Patrick Wines and Panther Creek Cellars will have tasting rooms in the Hollywood District and are all expected to be pouring in the next few months.

And while not a new name to Woodinville, Mark Ryan Winery is also making moves here. They’re opening a second tasting room in the Warehouse District dedicated to it Board Track Racer Cellars label. The tasting room opens on Saturday, February 24 at 12 p.m. and will pour the Board Track Racer wines as well as tastes from Megan Anne Cellars and Mark Ryan Winery.
