A fun look behind the scenes of the popular show “Northwest Wine Night TV,” as well as wine musings from the show’s Senior Producer.

This month’s 20/20 vision reset involves a behind the scenes mini jazz concert, our historic filming location of Northwest Wine Night TV, the tasting room within it, and tiny homes!

Our live audience got a real treat with our first ever live music performance during our halftime break. The smooth jazz mini concert was presented by Preston Lee, son of Woodinville Wine Country’s Sandra Lee. He was invited to a jazz camp at Centrum Jazz Festival in Port Townsend and needed just a few more bucks to get there. We were happy to help, it was a great chance to hear this budding young musician. We are happy to that he raised enough and was able to attend!

We film Northwest Wine Night TV on the top floor of the historic Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville Wine Country. The description of historic is legit too, it’s been named a State Historical Monument. The facility houses an extensive antique, artifact, and memorabilia collection ranging from petroleum pumps, to toys, and “Northern Exposure” set props, and a pretty cool stained glass piece I found hanging in the restroom upstairs where we film the show. The note on it says it used to hang in King Henry the VIII’s outhouse! The top two floors are available to rent for a variety of events and the lowest level is now home to Alexandria Nicole Cellars.

Speaking of Alexandria Nicole Cellars, they’re known for their Jet Black 100% Syrah, the first wine they ever produced. Their also known for creating a unique experience involving tiny homes. Tiny homes are just that, very tiny little houses, just a couple hundred square feet in size. They are all the rage these days, but how do they pair with wine? Take a visit to their estate winery in Patterson, WA, and rent out one of their four tiny homes located on the vineyard, they call it “glamping.” I like it!

The Alexandria Nicole Cellars tasting room on the ground floor of the Hollywood Schoolhouse is open 11a-6p every day. Think of it as a two for one must stop destination while exploring Woodinville Wine Country.

Join me every month for refills as I bring you more behind the scenes moments from our Northwest Wine Night TV filming days and Woodinville Wine Country fun facts. Cheers!
