Join us on June 1st at Woodinville Wine Boot Camp and discover something new.
You may know Chardonnay and Cabernet, but what about Washington’s lesser known varietals? With well over 20+ different grapes grown in Washington, it’s hard to know your Grenache from your Gewurztraminer! Mix it up and expand your wine repertoire at our June 1st Woodinville Wine Boot Camp; a full-day wine education seminar including an introduction to some of Washington’s best under the radar varietals.
In this session taught by Joseph Miglino, winemaker at Martedi Winery, you’ll taste through a flight of Washington’s unique varietals and blends that are equal parts intriguing and delicious; you may just discover a new favorite.
Joseph Miglino has been a wine professional for 25 years in various capacities including retail and wholesale sales, distributing, importing, and restaurants. Following a successful career in New York City, in 1993 Joseph moved to Seattle where he was instrumental in bringing and teaching the Court of Master Sommelier service standards throughout Washington State. In 2008 Joseph founded the award winning Martedi Winery as the President and winemaker. Joseph has a passion for teaching and wine education, particularly when it comes to Washington’s “under appreciated grapes” and has developed his own educational classes, tastings and events for both private and public functions.
In addition to Washington’s Under the Radar Varietals, there are three other exciting topics (and plenty of wine) that will be covered in this full-day wine education course and we hope to see you there. For more information, visit woodinvillewinecountry.com.
