Attending a wine blending workshop ranked among the top survey responses. Goose Ridge Vineyards hosts a White Wine Blending Experience at its Woodinville tasting room, led by winemaker Andrew Wilson.
Guests sample individual varietals, learn the fundamentals of wine blending, and explore how balance, structure, and flavor come together in the final wine. Each participant creates a custom blend, then bottles, corks, and labels their own wine to take home.
The next session takes place on February 26, 2026, and advance reservations are required.

Cocktail making classes were another top interest among survey respondents. Northwest Spirits in Woodinville offers private cocktail classes led by experienced mixologists.
During this 90 minute experience, guests learn cocktail fundamentals, create specialty syrups, and craft two cocktails using locally produced spirits. The class blends education with hands-on creativity.

For guests interested in exploring how a single vineyard wine evolves across vintages, DeLille Cellars hosts Harrison Hill Vertical Weekend from January 16 through January 19.
Guests visiting The Tasting Room can add a special two vintage side by side tasting of the 2021 and 2022 Harrison Hill. Club members also receive a special pour of the 2023 vintage alongside their tasting, offering a deeper look at how this iconic vineyard expresses itself year to year.

For guests interested in exploring how a Right Bank inspired blend evolves over time, L’Ecole No. 41 Woodinville hosts an Estate Cabernet Franc and Merlot Vertical Tasting on February 20, 2026.

Farm to table dining remains a strong draw for visitors. The Herbfarm offers nine course dinners that highlight seasonal ingredients sourced from the restaurant’s garden and nearby farms.
Signature 2026 experiences include A Menu for Spring Foragers, Return of the King, Demeter’s Garden, and the 100 Mile Dinner. Each menu reflects the flavors of the Pacific Northwest and is paired with Washington wines.

Chateau Ste. Michelle, Washington’s largest and most well-known winery, has officially been sold to the Wyckoff family. The sale closed on December 4 and marks the first time in more than 50 years that Ste. Michelle Wine Estates will be owned by a Washington-based family.
The Wyckoffs are longtime partners of Ste. Michelle, working with the company since the early 1980s through Wyckoff Farms and Coventry Vale Winery in Grandview. Their purchase includes all Ste. Michelle Wine Estates brands, facilities, vineyards, and inventory. This covers Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, 14 Hands, Liquid Light, Spring Valley, Northstar, and other Washington labels.
Court Wyckoff, CEO of Wyckoff Farms, called the acquisition a once-in-a-generation opportunity to carry forward one of the Northwest’s most iconic wine legacies. Ste. Michelle leaders shared similar enthusiasm, noting that local family ownership brings the company back to its roots and reinforces a long-term commitment to Washington’s wine industry.
The winery was previously owned by Sycamore Partners, a New York private equity firm that purchased Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in 2021.
The Wyckoff family, now in its third generation of agricultural leadership, brings decades of experience in premium wine grape growing and custom winemaking across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Their long history with Ste. Michelle positions them to continue supporting local growers and investing in the future of Washington wine.
